Weekend Festivities

This weekend was packed full of events. Starting with
1. My graduation! on Thursday and Friday
2. A family BBQ following graduation
3. My sister's baby shower on Saturday
4. My yougner brother's farwell on Sunday.
5. Four wedding receptions to attend, but only made it to one--Sue's and
6. The Jazz won to make it 3-1!
Feels so good to be graduated. Adam says he is happy he does not have to share me with BYU anymore. I have loved going to BYU, but being done is the best feeling.

Trying to take pictures during the windy snow storm was difficult. So the fact that only Cat's tassel is blowing in the wind is impressive.

Old Roommates from freshman and Sophomore year who in Abby's words "were my first friends and my last". Amazing that we all started together and ended together.

Chelsea and I getting ready to enter the Marriot center for Commencment.

Dave grilled up a delicious BBQ. This is my niece, Ava, and my nephew, Call enjoying the watermelon.

My family at the BBQ
My Grandmother even came in town for all the fun.

I have more pictures to come of the weekend but i'll post it later.

Steal of a Deal

I was lucky enough to come across this cute cake platter the other day while running some earrands. You might be asking yourself "where can I get that?" Well, I may have got the last one and but I got it a Ross--the store of hidden surprises.

Day of Bridal Showers

Of the four bridal showers that I went to this weekend I only took pictures at one of them. Oops. This was Abby's shower and the four of us used to be roommates Sophomore year.

My favorite

My sweet husband got me roses on Thursday. I was telling him how crazy my weekend was going to be with appointments, bridal showers, and studying. And then I was apologizing ahead of time for not cleaning the house on Saturday--like I usually do. So, I get home after our ward closing social and there were these red roses. He is my favorite.

Topping the Charts

I watched this movie with my mom and sister this weekend when all the men went to priesthood. I loved it! One of my favorite movies. It is very much like Pride and Prejudice (the A&E version), so if you like that you will love this movie. It is based on the novel by Elizabeth Gaskill and BBC did an excellend job of staying true to the time period and the novel.

Rockin' Out

Last night we got together with some of our friends and played Guitar Hero. As you can see we got pretty into it even though we only succeeded at the beginner level.

Adam was so delighted he didn't get booed off the stage as he played.

Shaun, Adam, and Burke eating cookies as they watch Chelsea play.

Chelsea's facial expression is a mix of being focused and looking stoned.

By the end Shaun really caught on and was doing well.

89th Birthday

Adam's adorable grandmother turns 89 on April 11th. The Nelson's threw a wonderful surprise birthday party for her at Riverside Country club. It was so fun to get everyone together.
Grandma is so cute. She even wore her favorite color red to the party.

Cupcakes!

I saw this and immediately thought of Chelsea Alder, but I think it has some really creative ideas. You gotta hand it to Martha--she knows her cupcakes.

Happy Birthday

My amazing mother had her birthday on Saturday. So, I planned a whole weekend of fun for her. On Friday, I surprised her by taking lemon bars (her favorite) to her class that she teaches at BYU. I told them she was turning 30. Then on Saturday, my sister and I took her to lunch at P712 and treated her to a pedicure. It was her first pedicure ever--she loved it. On Sunday, my sister and I made her dinner: lasagna, joe joes, salad, and key lime cheese cake. Delicious! (I'll post those pictures later if I get around to it).
