Belly Progress: Round 2

I wish that this is my last weekly baby bump post but I have a feeling it won't be.

Here is my belly progress over that last little while. Mostly for me, but you may also enjoy it.

I have been so grateful that Adam has taken a weekly picture of me and our growing baby. It is fun to look back and see the progress--even if some picture aren't that flattering--I am glad I have them.

Evening at the Cabin

Last Monday we went up to the Nelson cabin in Sundance with some friends for a fun evening.

Adam BBQ some tasty gourmet burgers.



The rest of dinner was also quite delicious with watermelon, sugar sweet corn, and of course lots of chips and drinks.

The kids chowed down on all the grub too.





After dinner we relaxed outside and watched the kids jump on the tramp. Then we made our way down to see the horses.





We topped the evening off with some Homemade Ice Cream. July is national homemade ice cream month and Adam and I have taken full use of celebrating this. We made fresh strawberry ice cream and rich cookies n' cream ice cream. Nothing better.

It was so fun to be in the canyon and enjoy some of these beautiful summer evenings with freinds before our little boy arrives.

Shower: Family

My amazing sisters-in-law threw Baby Boy Nelson a family shower just over a week ago. I was so impressed with the way they decorated and planned everything so perfectly. I should have known they would think of every little detail. Just look at the impressive decorations and food display. I was in love with all the brown and blue.





Natalie made these darling party favors.



Carly made homemade oreo cookies, a family favorite, and they were gone in seconds. Sally's friend made these to-die-for cupcakes that were as much a decoration and they were delicious to eat.





Sally made this darling quilt. Just look at the stippling...it is airplanes. I love it!



I failed to take any pictures of my family that threw the shower for me or my family that came to celebrate the coming of our baby boy. I guess I got too busy talking and eating the treats. However, I couldn't not share how amazing the shower turned out and all the hard work that was put into it. I feel much more prepared for his arrival.

Baby boy Nelson sure is loved and has the most incredible aunts. Thank you!

I am ready to meet you

I woke up this morning and suddenly felt so strongly that I am ready to meet our little boy. Up until this morning I was happy and content being pregnant. I am/was enjoying all the excitements and baby movements that came with the changes of being pregnant. I have loved and still love being pregnant. I feel great and am sleeping relatively well. However, now with only 2 weeks left I am ready to meet our boy. I want to hold him and bring him home into our family. I want to see him and be with him. I am ready.

I am walking every morning and trying to do all I can--that is safe--to bring him to us sooner than August 9th (suggestions?). I have dropped and feel constant braxton hicks but no real labor pains.

Baby Boy Nelson, as soon as you can, come meet us. We have been waiting a long time for you.

Sneak Peak of the Nursery

Here is a sneak peak of our baby boy's nursery. My tiny point-and-shoot camera doesn't take the best quality pictures but I love his nursery so much I had to show it off.

I have loved getting his nursery ready and sometimes I go in there and just sit and look at it because it makes me so happy.



It took me a while to find the perfect paint color and I couldn't be happier with the color we choose. It looks so good with all the white in the room.

The curtains are my favorite part of his nursery. I'll be sure to post more pictures soon.



37 weeks.
Only 17 more days till my due date. Hopefully it is less and not more.

Shower: Pop Goes the Baby

Last week my amazing neighbors, Brittney and Dani, threw a neighborhood shower for baby boy and me. Everything was decorated around the theme of POP. I was surprised at all the darling decorations and the food presentation that they planned so perfectly. I should have known they would go all out.

All the food and drinks went along with the theme, "POP Goes the Baby". From the matching colored soda pop and popcorn, to the cake pops and pin wheel pops, they thought of everything.





They brought in 400 balloons to cover the ceiling. It looked so cool.



They decorated in the colors of blue and brown and even hung up all these cute clothes on the staircase and around the house as part of the ambiance of the party. Afterward, they gave baby boy the clothes as part of their present to him along with so many other cute things.



Even the party favors were to die for--they were so cute. (You can kind of see them on the table). Thanks Michelle for making them.





My sister and I at the end of the shower. We are a month apart in our due dates. She is is due September 7th and we are both having boys! (Just look at all those balloons behind us).

This shower was so fun and my neighbors were so kind and thoughtful in all the gifts they gave to help us welcome in our baby boy. I really did move into the best neighborhood. This baby boy is already getting so much love from friends and family. Thank you!

Maternity Photo Shoot

On Saturday my good friend Leanne, was willing, and generous enough, to take a few maternity pictures of Adam and I. She did an excellent job and I LOVE how they turned out.

Over the Weekend

Adam and I had a fun weekend. We spent most of our time with friends.

On Friday we went up the AF Canyon with the Laceys and the Packers for a campout. However, Adam and I went home that night as I wasn't thrilled about sleeping in a tent being 9 months prego.



M. Lacey got us a sweet spot above Silver Lake.



The Packers made one of the yummiest dutch oven dinners I have ever had. They got up there a couple hours before us and made pulled pork sandwiches and baked beans. Then A. Lacey made delicious peach cobbler. We got spoiled.

On Saturday we spent the afternoon at the Lindon Aquatic center with the Alders. Adam and Burke were on the flow rider the whole time and I lazied around the lazy river with Chels.



That evening Chelsea suggested we try out an new restaurant, Cafe Pasean in Orem. It is like an Italian Cafe Rio (same owners) and it was very good. My pesto chicken pasta was tasty.



For dessert we made a small fire at our old ward building and roasted marshmallows with the Alders and Barlows. Chelsea got the jumbo marshmallows--have you seen them? They are huge and very fun to roast.

I only have a few weekends left before our baby boy comes and I am tyring to make the most of them but really, I just can't wait to meet our little guy. Side note: I found a diaper bag--yeah!
