89th Birthday

Adam's adorable grandmother turns 89 on April 11th. The Nelson's threw a wonderful surprise birthday party for her at Riverside Country club. It was so fun to get everyone together.
Grandma is so cute. She even wore her favorite color red to the party.

Cupcakes!

I saw this and immediately thought of Chelsea Alder, but I think it has some really creative ideas. You gotta hand it to Martha--she knows her cupcakes.

Happy Birthday

My amazing mother had her birthday on Saturday. So, I planned a whole weekend of fun for her. On Friday, I surprised her by taking lemon bars (her favorite) to her class that she teaches at BYU. I told them she was turning 30. Then on Saturday, my sister and I took her to lunch at P712 and treated her to a pedicure. It was her first pedicure ever--she loved it. On Sunday, my sister and I made her dinner: lasagna, joe joes, salad, and key lime cheese cake. Delicious! (I'll post those pictures later if I get around to it).

Easter Eggs

Adam and I colored Easter eggs on Monday with the Mortleys. The yellow egg that Adam is holding was probably the best egg. I love dyeing Easter eggs!

Amanda and Marshall provided us with dyes and paints to color our eggs. I liked the paint best. It was metallic.

Here are Adam and my colored easter eggs.

The paint and dye got all over my fingers.
It took about a day for it all to completely wash off.

Just getting ready to color our eggs.

Grizzlies

Just over a week ago I had an interview for a teaching intership at Timberline Junior High in Apline. I guess the interview went well because the principal called me back an hour later and offered me the job. I will be teaching 7th and 8th grade foods and TLC. Adam and I are really excited for it but first, I need to focus on my statistic exam that I am hoping to not fail.

The Weekend

So this weekend Adam and I stayed pretty busy. We went to the BYU basketball game and the Volleyball game--both of which we won. Adam and I went to the AT&T store and got me a new phone. It is a slider phone, which is different for me, but I like it. We also watched another 3 episodes of Heroes while enjoying a bowl of delciouis Coldstone ice cream. Going to Coldstone was an adventure and if you haven't heard about it, Adam can tell you later. I made my specialy of buttermilk pies for desert on Sunday and then Adam and I played a hilarious game of quelf at the Mortleys. Other than that our lives consisted of studying (me), tv (Adam), and sleeping in.
