Adam had a business trip in Amelia Island Florida last weekend. Never hear of the place, neither had we. But boy are we glad we know of it now. It is beautiful! Crew and I were buddies while Adam went to the work conference in the mornings and then we all hung out in the afternoon and evenings. I am so glad Crew and I tagged along...but now I am few loads behind on laundry and Crew has been waking up at 6:30 a.m. So maybe someday this week I'll get around blogging about the trip.

Crew and I met my sister and the Thanksgiving Point Discovery Gardens last week. We practically had the park to ourselves and it was really fun. The flowers were amazing!
Adam and I went for a walk for Family Night on Monday and on our way home Adam put Crew on his shoulders and right after Crew informed Adam that he had pooped. It made me laugh so hard.
Crew hanging out on the grass--I love this picture of him. So pure.
Crew and will spending some time together at the park and then at the Zoo. It made me laugh when I took the second picture because they both have their hand in their mouth.

Easter Sunday
I had fun putting together Crew's Easter basket this year. I made it a goal not to put any candy in his basket because I knew I would be the one to eat it, ha... so I avoided it all together. Instead, the Easter bunny brought a book, a mini soccer goal, and the current favorite--Mickey Mouse. It was a success!
Crew giving his Dad a fist pump after rummaged through his easter basket
Serious soccer skills. He has a future ahead of him.
Love his smile and tired face--not so much my tired face though. ugh.
We had Easter dinner and a family Easter Egg hunt at our house this year. We had a mix of Harrison's and Nelson's and the evening was so much fun. The best part was watching the kids run around during the egg hunt. Grandma Nelson puts money in the eggs and the older kids know by now that if they egg sounds empty it means money! So Call and Ellie ran around the yard shaking the eggs to see which ones had the dollar bills. If the eggs made a noise they put it back! Smart kiddos.
Once again Crew loved it and the weather was perfect! Somehow Crew started the hunt without shoes on, so the "socks and rolled up pants" were the style this year.
Checking for candy--which he found and ate promptly
I think that is it for our Easter posts.

Baseball
After Saturday's neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt we headed down to Provo for the BYU Baseball game. Crew is obsessed with any sport that involves a ball--so we figured he would love to go to a baseball game with us. He did really well! At first he kept pointing at the pitcher and would say "ball" but then when he couldn't see the ball he lost interest. He then wanted to walk up and down the steps which kept him occupied for about 2 innings and then we threw around a bouncy ball and chased it for another two innings. The weather was so warm we even pulled out the sunscreen--delightful!

Easter Hunt
Easter weekend was non-stop for us this year. With the weather being so warm we just went from one activity to the next. How could we not with how much Crew loved hunting for Easter eggs! Seriously, this kid totally GOT the whole "easter-egg-hunt" thing down. As soon as we gave him his basket on Saturday morning for our neighborhood hunt he wanted to go outside. He knew something was up. When the hunt began he quickly caught on to the concept of finding an egg, shake it to make sure something is inside, and then put in the basket. It wasn't too much later the he got all the eggs opened up and ate the candy. It was a bit cool that morning and it was 8:30 AM... so yeah we look a little tired.

Conversation
Last night when I was putting Crew to bed. We had one of our first conversations. It was so cute it had me laughing. I love all the words that Crew is saying and how he says them in his toddler-like way.
I went into Crew's room last night when he started crying in his crib. I picked him up and said
Me: "What's wrong?"
Crew: "I want out"
Me: "Sorry, but it is time to go to bed."
Crew: "Out, please" as he stars to whimper.
Me: "no" I replied back quietly
Crew: "Ball?"
Me: "No"
Crew: "Balloon?" (bauon)
Me: "No."
Crew: "Shoot?"(what he calls basketball hoops)
Me: "No. It is time to go to bed." by now I think this is the cutest conversation ever and I am trying not to laugh too hard so that I don't confuse Crew by having him think we are going to start laughing and playing.
Crew: Smiles and giggles quietly in response to me
Me: "Time for bed. Night Night." Then I laid Crew back down in his crib and he went right to sleep.
I love this boy more than anything else I have ever loved before.
Crew's enjoyed some early morning finger painting the next morning after breakfast.
