Cannon Beach Days 3 and 4

Our last couple of days at Cannon Beach were amazing. We had blue skies and sunshine--not always common on the Oregon Coast. So we decided to go to the famous Ecola Park. The large tree pictured is very well known because it has been there for hundreds of years.

Someone mentioned that there are no people on the beach behind us--which is true--and that is due to the fact that the beach pictured is only accessible during low tide, and this picture was taking during high tide. However, I like the serene look of the untouched shore.

We also visited Indian Beach...AKA La Push in the movie Twilight. It is so perfect because it is secluded by the mountains and the pine trees.

In the evenings we made fires on the beach and showed off our masterful marshmallow roasting skills--Yes, it is a skill.

See the melted chocolate oozing out of the golden mallow. This is the ultimate s'more. Not just anybody can make it that perfectly.

Adam and Sally (my M.in.L) eating their s'mores during the sunset.

There is really nothing in the world like Cannon Beach. Adam had never been and it was such a great vacation to share with him and our family.
Next stop...Seattle!
