Shocked

I was shocked when Kris won AI but so joyed at the same time. I know he was shocked too. I have to admit I didn't want Adam to win (creepy guy) and I like Kris' take on music better. Good way to end the season.

Also, I think I am going to like the bacheloret this season. There are about 4 guys as of now that I think are the leaders in my book. Agreeing with Chelsea on the first two, Kiptyn, Juan, the pilot (don't know his name), the break dance teacher was entertaining but I don't think he will last long, and lastly the cowboy (not the country singer). I don't know their names yet, but watch the show and tell me if you agree.

BTW: 6 days of school left and counting.

Weekend Update

Here is a scoop into what Adam and I did this weekend.

1. Bought some herbs (basil and parsley) from Lowes. I also used my nifty herbs as a display for our enrichment activity as we will be planting a herb garden.

2. Went to eat out with Burke and Chelsea Alder. While at Chili's eating we saw the Sanfords and the Larks.

3. Bought these Sandals at Target. Getting ready for summer.

4. Tried to rent Tandem Bikes with the Alders but the bikes were all rented. Maybe this week we will be more successful. You are welcome to join in that adventure if you'd like.

5. Saw Star Trek. It was good. Full of Action.

6. Counting down the days till school is out. 9 Days and counting!

7. Starting training for the 10K that I will be running in July. I'd love anyone who wants to join me.

What did you do this weekend?

Joke

My students usually have a list full of jokes that they like to share with me during the day. Most of them are junior high humor and semi-funny/lame but today, this joke was actually laughable. Here it is...

How do you make Lady Gaga cry?

Poke her face (Poker Face) :-)

Enjoy!

Anyone Up for a 10K

This summer I am going to run a 10K! If you want to run it with me please do. I need a training buddy. I researched the race I want to run and the training program I am going to follow. I have always wanted to run in competitive races and now that I'll have some free time on my hands this summer I thought it will be the best time to do it. Maybe I'll even get to the point where I feel ready to run a half marathon (another goal of mine) but I am going to start with the 10k. However, I don't have anyone to train with. If you are interested in working out this summer please let me know because I would love to have a friend to train with. Either way, I'll still run the race but please join me if you'd like.

X-Men Origins

Adam and I saw X-Men Origins on Saturday night. We liked it although the reviews for it have not been that great. Hugh did a great job. But what did you think about the movie?

Champions

On Friday I coached my last Track meet of the year. I have loved coaching track and field. Thursday and Friday was the big end of the season meet, Alpine Days. All the athletes from the Alpine School District get together and compete. Within the whole district my 8th grade girls track team took first place. They earned it too. They took 1st and 3rs in the long lump, 1st and 2nd in the 100 meter sprint, 2nd and 5th in the 200 meter sprint, 1st in shot put, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in high jump, 3rd in the 4x100 meter relay. I could keep going but you get the point. I was lucky enough to coach a track team that has so much talent. The girls got a sweet trophy that's about 3 feet tall too. I look forward to coaching them next year. Amazing!
