Gingerbread (Graham Cracker) Houses

Last week Alyssa, Chelsea, and I got together and made graham cracker houses. Take a look. 

 

I went more traditional, Alyssa went pueblo style, and Chelsea choose a tent. My favorite decoration is the fire pit that Lyss and Chels put in. I'll have to remember that for next year.

Lights

Check out these cupcakes I made for my neighbor who I visit teach. Can you tell what they are?

I love baking--but during the Holiday Season I seem to fall in love with it even more. I like to try new ideas but also bake traditional holiday treats. 

Don't judge the white cupcake light, I didn't have any white sprinkles so marshmallows had to do. It looks more like a sheep's body but whatever. I got the idea from my "Hello Cupcake" book. They are  easy and fun to make. Try making your own Christmas Light cupcakes. 

 

side note: they are supposed to have green licorice connecting each light through the green gum drop but I couldn't find any...oh well.  Enjoy!

It's begining to look

A lot like Christmas! 

My Christmas decorations have been up since about the 2nd week in November. I took down Halloween and put Christmas without even hesitating to think about Thanksgiving decor since we were gone for Thanksgiving. I hadn't thought about showing you my display of decor but my friend did and I was inspired to. So here is my home for this holiday season.

these next two pictures are terrible 1. because my camera is not so great and 2. the sunlight is horrible. But I love the hanging ornaments in my front window.

4 Months

On December 5th Crew turned 4 months old.

I have the cutest and most fun 4 month old baby. He is seriously so much fun to be with which makes me so thankful that I get to be home with him everyday. He is a growing boy. He is very long and so strong. He is wearing 6 month clothing (if not 6-9 mo.). He always holds his hands together and then proceeds to suck on his hands constantly. He wants to be held facing out because he likes to look at everything around him. He has such a cute "curious" look. He recently discovered himself in the mirror and whenever we are in front of a mirror he smiles so big. He loves it. Also, while holding him, if Adam or I hold him while we are sitting he likes to stand on our lap.His legs are very strong along along with the rest of him.

His bumbo maybe his favorite place to be. He will sit in it and watch me, cook or sew or even sit while it is placed on the table so he can eat dinner with us. In the morning when he wakes up from his 12 hour sleep he will eat around 6-8 ounces of food but other than that he eats about 4 ounces every three hours. He does really well at tummy time even though he doesn't like it. He has only rolled over once but looks like he wants to start crawling. He got his first cold--still has it. He wants to put everything in his mouth once his has a grip on it and he smiles all the time. Recently he was baby Jesus in one of our church meetings and he is calm. We love this little guy.

He is such a cute boy. We can't help but give him kisses and smile at all the joy he brings us.

Thanksgiving

This year Thanksgiving was spent in sunny California with my mom's side of the family. Adam and I had not been to my family's annual Thanksgiving in California since we have been married. It was so fun to have the long weekend with my family but also my extended family. The best part was having my Grandma meet Crew. 

Even though it was a bit chilly we took Crew for his first visit to the beach.

We met up with Celine and Cameron and got to meet their darling little girl Brooklyn. I love how tiny Brooklyn is compared to Eli and Crew's sweet smile .

Jace, my sister's oldest boy, took my grandma's dog, Amy, for a walk each day.  Jace loved holding the leash.

Four Generations

This picture was not taken during our Thanksgiving break but it is my dad's mom and it show four generations on the Harrison side. 

We ate and ate and ate all weekend long and we enjoyed not getting caught in the storms on our way there and back. I hope you enjoyed being with your family during Thanksgiving as much as we did.
