Weekend Dates Together

Adam and I had a wonderful weekend together. We went up to Sundace with Talon and Annie Webb on Friday night. For those of you who don't know, every full moon Sundance does night lifts (usually you can only ride the life in the day). It was amazing--a perfect date night. Sundance is so beautiful and it was nice to get up in the canyon with the green trees and clean air. The moon was the biggest I have ever seen it and the sunset was perfect.

On Saturday, Adam and I spent the whole day together and it was so enjoyable. I made crepes for breakfast, and then we hit the tennis courts. Adam "somehow" beat me in both games we played, but just barley. I made a come-back but I lost in a tie breaker.

After tennis we ventured over to "Ella Good Shaved Ice" near BYU and got a cool down treat.

(Surpisingly, we were still thristy afterwards but the shaved ice left us with the reddest tounge, teeth, gums, and lips ever. I recommend getting Tigers blood with ice cream on the botton--yum).

We saw the Dark Night after tennis and LOVED it! We thought H. Ledger did a fantastic job as well as C. Bale. If you have not seen it you need to. Maybe we will go see it again with you.

We ended the evening with dinner at Red Robin. Adam got called as the 2nd councelor in the Elder's Quarm and we met up with his presidency for dinner and games.

The next moon light lift ride is August 15-16. We plan on going and would love if you wanted to come too.

Two Options...

On Wednesday night I wanted to go to Sundance to watch a moive at their outdoor theather. However, Adam was tired from golfing and had already been to Sundance for some work training for the previous two days. Being the clever person that I am I decided on a comprimise. I told Adam I was going to my Pilates class at the gym at 8:00pm and I would be back by 9:00 pm. During the hour I was away he could either 1. Get ready and go to Sundance with me or 2. Have a surpise for me when I returned. Both good choices.

I returned from the gym an hour later and Adam was sitting on the couch watching TV--not ready to go to the movie and no surprise waiting me. I assumed he didn't get me anything so I sat down and began to sulk--only a little though. Adam told me to go change out of my gym clothes but I was too busy sulking and watching Friends on TV. Finally, Adam went into the other room--I thought to change his clothes to get ready to leave. Yet, I was wrong again. When I walked into the bedroom to see what he was doing I saw this sitting on our bed...

Adam totaly suprised me with this new camera. We have been talking about getting a new one for a little while but I had no idea he was going to buy it so soon. My idea of a last minute surprise is like a poem or a card, possibly a picture drawn on the computer, but Adam went above and beyond. I love our new camera! I just have to say that Adam is so good to me and he is the best husband. I am so lucky I have him.

Provo River

Seems like a lot of our friends have been floating the Provo River lately. Taking their advice we got together with some friends on Saturday and decided to take on the freezing water. Burke Alder made reservations, we were provided life jackets and a nice tube, and a bus ride up to the starting point. Well worth it. It was so beaufitful and very enjoyable to be outside in the green canyon. I recommend you trying it this summer why it is still hot!

After floating the river, we stayed in our gear and headed over to the Veterans Memorial Pool. Erika Herman so kindly included us to this invite only pool party(she is a lifegaurd at the pool) and we had a blast going down the slides! Thanks Erika!

My brother just younger than me, Anderw, let's now call him Elder Harrison, just arrived to his first area in the mission. The city is Graz, Austria. The Mur river runs through it and it is tucked high up in the Austrian Alps. He is loving it and said Austria is the most amazing place he has ever seen or been to. It is making me anxious to go back to Europe.

4th of July Weekend--Fireworks and Fun

Adam and I love the 4th of July. We discovered that we love it because it is one of the few Summer holidays. It is such a relaxing day off and we really like the smell of fireworks--kindof funny, I know. Anyway, here is a little taste of what we enjoyed doing for the holiday weekend.

Adam and I made shishkabobs with our friends Talon and Annie Webb. The kabobs turned out delicious--we will be making more of them this summer so let us know if you want to enjoy our scrumptious grilling.

On Friday afternoon, after we returned home from camping, we went to Greg and Ann's ( our Aunt and Uncle) for a traditional family lunch and pool time. Our nephew Jett, was so fun to watch. He is only 2 but he jumps in the pool by himself and then floats until his parents grab him.

That night we watched the Stadium of Fire Firworks. We put a blanket on the grass near Wyview and Univeristy Ave and ate our Ben and Jerry's ice cream. Adam got Half Baked and I got Everything But The.... We did this last year and it was so fun we decided to do it again, but this time Talon and Annie joined us. The Fireworks were amazing!


Saturday morning, Adam and I went to Kneaders--our favorite breakfast--with Talon and Annie. Not only did we eat a whole pint of Ben and Jerrys the night before (not healthy) we had to top it off with the french toast. Don't worry--I went to the gym afterwards and then the pool with Chelsea Alder.

Saturday night Adam and I saw the Incredible Hulk. It was really good. Edward Norton is amazing as the Hulk. During the really intense parts Adam would get so excited. It was so fun watching him.

4th of July Weekend--Camping

Thursday, Adam and I went camping with my parents and my brother, Parker, in American Fork Canyon. It was our first campout of the summer and it was so fun. We hiked into this "Special Spot" (as my dad called it) right by some beautiful streams and ponds. It was so nice to get away and enjoy the beautiful canyon.

We went on a hike Friday morning and this was one of the many scenic points on the hike.

The hike took us to beaver ponds. I know you can barley see the ponds but they are there and it is pretty cool to see how the ponds were created by beaver dams.

We hiked through this really tall grass to get to the ponds. Behind Adam is my dad fearlessly leading the way.

Just heading off to hike into our campsite. Parker looks really excited. We only had to hike in about one mile--and it was worth it because we had the best campsite!

St. George

We went with our friends, the Alders, to St. George last weekend. Don't worry it was only 110 degrees! Even in the heat we managed to get in pool time, a temple visit, dinner, dessert, a nice tan, in-n-out, and three movies--thank you red box.
